We all know the story. A 17-year-old armed with only a bag of Skittles, a hoodie and mocha skin is followed by a neighborhood watch man. At this moment, neither are breaking the law. Goodbye Chicago, we’re moving to Portland

There’s exciting times here at She’sWrite. First there was my Voices of the Year honor, now I want to tell you more big news: We’re moving to Portland.

I’ve got big news. No not pregnant. But it’s equally miraculous.

A couple months ago I submitted some of my blog posts for BlogHer’s Voices of The Year. For my friends who aren’t really into blogging, but thankfully read mine, BlogHer is the largest community of women bloggers. It’s got an audience of 92 million each month.

This NPR Nerd Gets Her Chance At Wait, Wait… Don’t Tell Me

I love NPR. Even before the coffee is brewing in our house, National Public Radio has been turned on.
