A Christmas in England

Christmas is already a magical time of year, but that “something special” seems magnified when you’re spending the holidays in another country. In comparing our traditions, I find myself admiring theirs and appreciating ours even more.

Goodbye Chicago, we’re moving to Portland

There’s exciting times here at She’sWrite. First there was my Voices of the Year honor, now I want to tell you more big news: We’re moving to Portland.

Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me….OK, I Gained HOW Much Weight!?!?!

I’ve got a bad hangover. A cruise hangover. It’s not a headache situation, but more of a belly situation that’s hanging over my jeans. I gained a bunch of weight while on my five-day cruise.

It’s impressive really when you think about it. In five days, FIVE I gained…. (drumroll) Nine pounds. That’s more than my children weighed when they were born. After we left Grand Turk, it was off to Half Moon Cay. I know, when I first heard of it, I was like what the heck is that?
