A Vacation in the Caribbean, Won’t You Come Along?

Aaaaaahh. Vacation. Such a great word. It stems from the Latin word Vacare. You can probably tell that I’m on one right now, because who has the time to pontificate the roots of the word “vacation?”

Well folks, she did it. Nicki Minaj laid it out in high-energy, lyrical spitfire splendor at the Chicago Theatre in her U.S. opening of the Pink Friday Tour.

I’m super-excited. Tonight I get to enjoy my Mother’s Day gift from Hubby: Tickets to the Nicki Minaj concert.

Yes, I will probably be among the oldest in the crowd, but I don’t care. It’s Nicki! I’ve loved her rhymes before it was cool to do so.

Preschool Graduation: More Than Just Poop and Circumstance?

I have crossed another milestone as a parent. My firstborn has graduated…. From preschool.

I remember before I had kids, I thought, sheesh, what’s up with all of these graduations? Preschool, Kindergarten, sixth grade, eighth grade and finally high school??? I have had two graduations: High school and college.
