Portland has well-earned its reputation for being one of the greenest cities in the U.S.  Since moving here, I’m impressed by how pervasive all of the recycling efforts, not to mention an abundance of electric cars and creative ways of reusing items.

In Portland a trash bin rarely stands alone. It’s usually accompanied by a recycling bin, or like here, a compost bin.
