It’s crazy to get a glimpse of what someone else thinks of you. I had that chance this week when I read the story written about me in Bellē Up’s Mom of the Week feature.

Bellē Up is a maternity boutique in Chicago, but you can order all of its wonderfulness online. Actually it’s more than a store, it’s a community touchstone for moms. It hosts workshops for moms and story times for children, has an active blog and routinely stocks items made by local moms. And the unique baby gear, gifts and accessories are awesome.

It’s all run by an amazing friend of mine. We met right before college and were fast friends. We had a blast together and to spare us both embarrassment, I’ll leave it at that. Now she’s an übermom. For the record, that’s one step above super mom. She’s a high-powered attorney, mom of two, owns her own maternity boutique and I’m sure she also feeds and clothes the homeless on the side.

Her blog has a feature called Mom of the Week and when she told me I’d been picked, I was surprised. When I poked around at the previous award winners, I was surprised she thought I belonged in this group of SuperMoms.  Then when I saw what she wrote about me, I thought, who is *that* chic?
